It seems as if every March I post a series of
great warm-weather pictures and rave about my improved mood and the joy of longer daylight hours, and ever so foolishly, declare winter as OVER. And of course, it
snows a foot the next day. So, I did take a TON of pictures last week while we were outside enjoying some beautiful sunshine and warm weather, but I resisted posting them. I know that I do *owe* the blog some attention and certainly some good photos, but honestly I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. Now that it HAS, and we have dipped to below-freezing temperatures once again, I feel free to share the glorious weather we experienced a week or two back. Our first order of business was, of course, hopscotch:
Then we decided to race toothpicks down the gutters of the street... (this is apparently something kids do here, though I've never heard of anyone doing this in Canada)
The weather stayed warm for most of the rest of that week, and the girls avoided being inside at all costs.
We had our earliest-ever lunch picnic of the year - the snow was not yet gone, but there was a perfect picnic-blanket sized dry patch on the patio:
Those 15+ degree temperatures are gone now and it has been snowing lightly on and off for the last few days, with more snow expected this week. But hopefully it won't be long until the girls are back outside without coats and hats again...
