Thank goodness it's the weekend.

It's been an exhausting week - the first week of school, Ozayr's first (and hopefully last) kidney stone, and Hafsa's first molars are coming through. To unwind a bit we went out to the Como Zoo last night for some fun. We picked the right time because it was just before close (by about an hour and a half, which is plenty of time to see the whole zoo) and there weren't many people around. My parents once visited a zoo in Australia before opening hours and said that the animals were so sociable and engaging; once the crowds arrived they really changed their behaviour. I think we got a glimpse of that last night because the animals were in fine form, like we've never seen them before: tigers running, monkeys swinging, bobcats leaping, and more than one animal couple gettin' frisky, if you know what I mean... Even the anti-social zebra who is always standing with his butt to the crowd was roaming around enjoying the gorgeous evening. The polar bear put on a special show just for us and I snapped it to share with all of you... Enjoy!
